Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect information when you use casinoscanada.online — and the choices and rights you have.

Last updated: 22 May 2026

CasinosCanada (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the websitecasinoscanada.online (the “Site”) — an independent affiliate and review site for online casinos available to players in Canada.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Site, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to the Site only. We aim to collect as little personal information as possible: the Site has no user accounts and no sign-up, login, contact, or newsletter forms, so we do not ask you to provide personal details such as your name, email address, or payment information.

In short: the Site has no accounts or forms, so we do not collect information you type in. We use Google Analytics to understand how the Site is used — but only after you agree through the cookie banner. We never sell your data. You can change or withdraw your cookie choice at any time using the Cookie Preferences link in the footer of every page.

Who we are and how to contact us

The Site is operated by CasinosCanada, the operator of casinoscanada.online. For the purposes of data-protection law — including Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the UK GDPR — CasinosCanada is the “data controller” responsible for personal information processed through the Site.

For any privacy question, or to make a request about your personal information, contact us at info@casinoscanada.online.

The information we collect

We collect very little, and only two kinds of information:

Information you choose to give us

Because the Site has no accounts or forms, we do not collect personal information that you submit on the Site. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message, and we use it only to respond to you.

Information collected automatically when you visit

  • Analytics information — collected through Google Analytics, and only with your consent. This includes the pages you view, how long you spend on them, links and buttons you click, the page or source you arrived from, your approximate location (country, region, and city, estimated from your IP address by Google), and technical details such as device type, browser, operating system, screen size, and language.
  • Server and security logs — our hosting provider (Netlify) automatically records standard technical information for every request, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. This is used to deliver the Site, keep it secure, and prevent abuse.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — described in the next section.

We do not knowingly collect “special category” data (such as health or financial information), and we do not ask for it.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. We also use a similar technology called local storage. We use them in two categories:

  • Strictly necessary — required for the Site to work and to remember your cookie choice. These do not require consent. Specifically, we store your cookie-consent decision in your browser’s local storage (under the key cookie-consent) so we do not have to ask you on every page. This stays on your device and is not sent to us.
  • Analytics — set by Google Analytics, and only after you click “Accept” on the cookie banner. They help us understand how the Site is used.

If you accept analytics cookies, the following are set:

CookieSet byPurposeExpires
_gaGoogle AnalyticsDistinguishes one visitor from anotherAbout 2 years
_ga_YSBMX1YB95Google AnalyticsMaintains analytics session stateAbout 2 years

Your control. When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. No analytics cookies are set unless you click “Accept”. If you click “Reject”, analytics runs in a limited, cookie-free mode (Google Consent Mode) that does not store cookies or identifiers on your device. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the Cookie Preferences link in the footer of every page. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings — see aboutcookies.org for guidance.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, a web-analytics service provided by Google (Google LLC, and Google Ireland Limited for users in the EEA and UK). It helps us understand how visitors find and use the Site so we can improve our reviews and guides.

  • Consent first. We have implemented Google Consent Mode v2. Until you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics stores no cookies or identifiers on your device; it may send only aggregated, anonymous signals that cannot identify you. Once you accept, it measures your visit using the cookies listed above.
  • Your IP address. Google uses your IP address to estimate your general location and then discards it. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses, and we never see your IP address in our analytics reports.
  • Measurement only. We use Google Analytics solely to measure and improve the Site. We have not enabled Google’s advertising features, remarketing, Google Signals, or ads personalization.
  • Google’s use of data is governed byGoogle’s Privacy Policy and explained inHow Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
  • Opt out. Besides rejecting cookies on our banner, you can install theGoogle Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to prevent Google Analytics from running on any website.

How we use information

We use the limited information described above to:

  • operate, maintain, and secure the Site;
  • understand how visitors use the Site and which content is helpful;
  • improve our reviews, guides, and overall site performance;
  • detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and technical problems;
  • respond to you if you contact us; and
  • comply with our legal obligations.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you.

If you are in the EEA or the UK, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Consent — for analytics cookies and the information collected through Google Analytics. You give consent through the cookie banner and can withdraw it at any time.
  • Legitimate interests — for strictly necessary operations such as delivering the Site, keeping it secure, maintaining short-term server logs, and preventing abuse. Our legitimate interest is running a secure, functional website, balanced against your rights and freedoms.
  • Legal obligation — where we must process or retain information to comply with the law.

For visitors in Canada, we handle personal information in accordance with PIPEDA and applicable provincial privacy laws, on the basis of your consent and our legitimate business purposes.

CasinosCanada is an affiliate website. Many links to casino operators on the Site are affiliate links. If you click an affiliate link and then register or deposit at that operator, we may earn a commission — at no extra cost to you.

  • When you click through to a casino operator or any other third-party website, you leave casinoscanada.online and that website’s own privacy policy and terms apply. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of third-party sites.
  • We may receive a referral or tracking identifier from an affiliate programme confirming that a visit or sign-up originated from our Site. We do not receive your name, account details, deposits, or other personal information from casino operators.

We strongly recommend reading the privacy policy of any casino operator before creating an account or providing personal or payment information.

Service providers and data sharing

We keep data sharing to a minimum. We share information only with the service providers that make the Site work, and only as needed to provide their service:

ProviderPurposePrivacy information
NetlifyWebsite hosting and content delivery; processes server and security logs, including IP addressesnetlify.com/privacy
Google AnalyticsWebsite analytics — only with your consentpolicies.google.com/privacy

We may also disclose information if required to do so by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of CasinosCanada or others. We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.

International data transfers

Some of our service providers — including Google and Netlify — are based in, or process data in, the United States and other countries outside Canada, the EEA, and the UK. Privacy laws in those countries may differ from those where you live. Where personal information is transferred internationally, the provider is responsible for protecting it using appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and equivalent UK mechanisms.

How long we keep data

We keep information only for as long as necessary:

  • Analytics data — Google Analytics retains the underlying user- and event-level data for the period set in our account, up to a maximum of 14 months, after which Google deletes it automatically. Aggregated, non-identifying reports may be kept longer.
  • Server and security logs — retained by our hosting provider for a short period for security and troubleshooting, then deleted or anonymized.
  • Emails — if you email us, we keep your message for as long as needed to handle your query and a reasonable period afterwards.
  • Your cookie-consent choice — stored in your browser until you clear it or change your choice.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you have rights over your personal information. Because the Site collects very little and holds no account data, some rights may have limited application — but we will always respond to a genuine request. You may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you;
  • Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • Delete your personal information (the “right to erasure”);
  • Restrict or object to certain processing;
  • Portability — receive certain information in a portable format;
  • Withdraw consent at any time — for cookies, use theCookie Preferences link in the footer. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew it.

To exercise any of these rights, emailinfo@casinoscanada.online. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and we will reply within the time required by applicable law (for example, within 30 days under PIPEDA).

Complaints. If you have a concern we have not resolved, you can complain to a privacy regulator:

  • Canada — the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca);
  • EEA — your local Data Protection Authority;
  • UK — the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

Children and the minimum gambling age

Online gambling is restricted to adults. The minimum legal gambling age in Canada is 18 in Alberta, Manitoba, and Quebec, and 19 in all other provinces and territories. The Site and its content are intended only for adults of legal gambling age.

The Site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the legal age. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Data security

We take reasonable measures to protect information processed through the Site. The Site is served entirely over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and we work only with reputable service providers that maintain their own security standards. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, if we add new features or service providers, or to reflect changes in the law. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
