CasinosCanada is an independent review site for online casinos available to players in Canada. We exist because most “best casino” lists are thin, templated, and written to rank rather than to help — and online gambling is exactly the kind of decision, involving real money and real risk, where that does the reader a disservice. Our job is to tell Canadians the truth about an operator: what it does well, where it falls short, whether it’s legal and licensed, and whether we’d actually deposit there ourselves.
The short version: we are a founder-led, independent site that reviews online casinos for Canadians against a strict, published standard. We research each operator first-hand, cross-check it against six independent watchdogs, state licensing plainly, and flag the ones to avoid — even when it costs us a commission.

What makes us different
We hold every review to a published standard rather than a hunch. In practice that means a few things you won’t find on most affiliate sites:
- Operator-first research, watchdog-verified. We take product facts from each operator’s own Canadian-facing site, then cross-check reputation against six independent watchdogs — Casino Guru, AskGamblers, LCB, Casinomeister, CasinoReviews and Trustpilot.
- Licensing stated plainly. We confirm registration against the iGaming Ontario register and never hide an operator’s offshore status.
- We withhold the button on high-risk casinos. When an operator is Not Recommended, we remove the sign-up link rather than profit from sending you there.
- A named human behind every review. No anonymous “team,” no AI personas — an accountable byline and a last-updated date on every page.

Who we are
CasinosCanada is founded and run by Duwayne Cowney. It is a small, independent operation rather than a faceless content network — the person setting the standard and the person signing the reviews are the same. The working expertise behind the site is exactly that: years spent running and reviewing online casinos for a Canadian audience, and the hands-on familiarity that comes with it — how operators really handle bonuses, banking, identity checks, and withdrawals for players here.
How we stay independent
CasinosCanada is funded by affiliate commissions: if you sign up with an operator through one of our links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That funding model never buys a better review. We don’t sell rankings, we don’t accept payment to raise a score, and we publish poor verdicts — and withhold sign-up links entirely — for operators we can’t stand behind.
